Messerschmidt Safety Consultants's ECM Data Imaging staff combines over 50 years of experience in collecting, preserving, and analyzing EDR and ECM data.

Bill Messerschmidt has been an invited speaker throughout North America on the subject of Event Data Recorders and has authored and coauthored Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) papers on ECM technology. In addition, MSC developed EDR Analytics, the first-ever software application for evaluating these important data.

Benjamin Smith has co-authored peer-reviewed technical papers on Event Data Recorders (EDRs) and is heavily involved in EDR research. Ben’s professional experience includes EDR data retrieval, preservation, and analysis. He completed Heavy Vehicle EDR training through the University of Tulsa; he has completed CDR Analyst training as well.

Kevin Jones downloaded EDRs as a contractor for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Kevin's professional experience in EDR data imaging is complemented by his education in mathematics and computer science.
